Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Set for Memorial Day Weekend Swing Through West Virginia
For the first time ever, Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series will make its way into the Mountain State for a Memorial Day weekend tripleheader, bringing three nights of Dirt Late Model racing action to three West Virginia tracks.
The tour opens Friday, May 22 at Elkins Speedway with the Fredrick Memorial paying $10,052 to win. The series then heads to Tyler County Speedway on Saturday, May 23 for the Take Me Home Country Roads $12,000-to-win program before concluding Sunday, May 24 at West Virginia Motor Speedway for the Mountaineer Nationals paying $15,000 to the winner.
The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series has rapidly become one of the most recognized grassroots Dirt Late Model tours in the country. Based in Milton, Florida, Hunt the Front was founded by brothers Joseph Joiner and Jonathan Joiner along with longtime friend Jesse Enterkin. The name reflects their racing philosophy of “always being in the hunt for the front.”
What began as a family-centered racing operation has evolved into a nationally followed racing brand through its popular YouTube and streaming platforms, featuring behind-the-scenes content, race coverage, and shop life that has helped connect fans to grassroots dirt racing across the country.
The series focuses on competitive regional racing while showcasing local tracks and communities. Their first-ever West Virginia swing is expected to bring strong car counts and traveling fans into the state during the holiday weekend.
Tyler County Speedway’s Saturday night event will feature a full racing program in addition to the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Late Models. Support divisions include Ultimate Pro Late Models, Modifieds, Sport Mods, Hot Mods, and Mini Wedges.
Gates at Tyler County Speedway will open at 3 p.m., with racing scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Registration and pill draw will be open from 3-5 p.m., and teams are encouraged to register early.
General admission is $25, while children ages 10 and under are admitted free. Pit admission is $45, with children ages 5 and under admitted free to the pit area.
Race fans across the region are encouraged to make plans to attend one or all three nights as the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series makes its way across West Virginia.
