Pat Herrick Memorial Race Rescheduled for April 25, 2026
The 16th Annual Pat Herrick Memorial Steel Block Show at Tyler County Speedway has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 25, after last weekend’s event was canceled due to inclement weather.
The program will feature a full night of racing, highlighted by the Ohio Valley Late Model Dirt Series, along with the addition of Mod Lites to the schedule. The Steel Block feature will pay $1,500 to win and $250 to start.
Gates will open at 3 p.m., with registration and pill draw running from 3 to 5 p.m. Mini Wedges are set to begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by hot laps and racing action.
Classes scheduled to compete include Ohio Valley Late Model Dirt Series (Steel Blocks), Super Late Models, Modifieds, Mod Lites, Sport Mods, Hot Mods, 4 Cylinders and Mini Wedges. There will be no separate Ultimate Pro Late Model division, though eligible cars may compete with the Ohio Valley Late Model Dirt Series.
General admission is $20, with free entry for children 10 and under. Pit passes are $40, with children 5 and under admitted free.
The event honors the legacy of Pat Herrick, a pioneer of racing at Tyler County Speedway, and is expected to draw a strong field of competitors and fans for a full evening of dirt track racing.
