THE EARL HILL MEMORIAL

Join us as we honor one of the most legendary figures in Tyler County Speedway history — the one and only Earl Hill.

Known to many as “Smiley,” Earl Hill’s name is etched in dirt track racing history with over 300 career feature wins, countless championships, and a legacy that extends far beyond the checkered flag. Whether piloting the iconic Jr. Thomas #8 or a Doll Brothers #80 machine, Earl's mastery behind the wheel and sportsmanship outside the car made him a true fan favorite.

With his signature polka dot welder’s cap and handlebar mustache, Earl wasn’t just a racer — he was a hero to young fans, often giving away his trophies to children, especially those with disabilities. His kindness and competitive spirit defined what it means to be a gentleman racer.

From winning the final race at Morgantown Speedway to becoming Tyler County Speedway’s first-ever track champion, Earl’s impact on the sport remains unmatched.

Come celebrate the life, legacy, and racing excellence of a true legend at the Earl Hill Memorial — a night of racing you won't forget!
