RUSH Late Model Tour Canceled at Tyler County Speedway Due to Inclement Weather

The Hometown Racing Association has announced the unfortunate cancellation of the 22nd Annual Eaton/Childers King of the Ring event, part of the RUSH Late Model Series, at Tyler County Speedway scheduled for Thursday, July 4th.

The decision was made in light of the high likelihood of heavy afternoon and evening thunderstorms. With teams traveling long distances of 6-7 hours, the Hometown Racing Association prioritizes the safety and well-being of all involved. This marks the third time this year that the RUSH Late Model Series has been affected by adverse weather conditions at the Tyler County Speedway, making it a challenging year for all.

While the cancellation of the RUSH Late Model Tour is disappointing, the Hometown Racing Association is optimistic about the second half of the doubleheader weekend. The Monster Truck Summer Smash event will proceed as planned on Saturday, July 6th, promising a spectacular and family-friendly show of car crushing excitement at the 'Bullring'.

For more information and updates, please visit the Tyler County Speedway website or contact the Hometown Racing Association directly.
