Its Go Time at America's Baddest Bullring for the 47th Annual Season Opener

On a beautiful March afternoon, the Hometown Racing Association would welcome back eager racers and fans back to the Bullring this past Saturday for Test N’ Tune and with over 100 teams dialing in their machines in anticipation of the seasons first green flag. A stellar field of awesome looking race cars would take to the ‘Bullring’ for the first time and if Test N’ Tune is any indication the competition is going to be fierce in all classes. Make plans now to be at America’s Baddest Bullring this Saturday Night, April 3rd as we kickstart the season with the 47th Annual Season Opener.

A pit full of the regions best racers will be on hand and in side-by-side action in the J&R Excavating Super Late Models presented by Midcap Land and Timber, Appalachian Mineral Title Company FASTRAK Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Sportmods, Sigler Fabrication EDGE Hotmods presented by Poske Performance Parts, Bullring Bombers and the Jenkins Auto Parts MWRA Mini Wedges.

An earlier start time will kick off the season with gates opening at 3pm, MWRA Wedges hitting the track at 5:30 and hotlaps/qualifications set to begin at 6:00. General admission is $15 with kids 10 and under Free with Pit Passes priced at $30.

Also on the opening night agenda and in recognition of the Tyler County Speedway celebrating its 47th season of continuous operation every 47th fan thru the general admission gate will receive a Pit Pass upgrade. Also be sure to bring the kids as we host a giant Easter Egg Hunt prior to the racing action at 5pm.

There are plenty of storylines heading in to the Season Opener including in the Super Late Model division the return of the ‘Gambler’ Paul Wilmoth Jr., as the Clarksburg, WV racer was extremely fast at Test N’ Tune. Also defending track champion Shawn Jett had plenty of speed and will be looking for back to back crowns. Plus who may pop in to turn some laps in preparation of the huge Thursday Night, April 15th Castrol FloRacing Night in America paying $10,000 to win?

Can cagey veteran Donnie Dotson hold off the young challengers in the FASTRAK Late Model class to lock up another track championship? EDGE Hotmod track champion Danny Thomas vaults up to the highly competitive UMP Modified division where Cody Brightwell will be looking for his 3rd Championship in a row. How about defending MWRA champion George Casto III making the move up to the FASTRAK Late Model division? With year two of the Sportmod division being a weekly class at the Bullring and with track champ Kendall Hodge away for Military duty a huge void will look to be filled in the WVU-P Victory Lane all season long.
