Tyler County Speedway to Play Host to FASTRAK 17th Annual Eaton/Childers King of the Ring

Join us this Saturday Night, June 16th as America’s Baddest Bullring will play host to a big Father’s Day extravaganza featuring something for the entire family. Fast family fun is a Tyler County Speedway specialty and this Saturday looks to be no different. Be sure to get good ol’ Dad out of the easy chair and head to the Tyler County Speedway for an early Fathers Day gift. A jam packed night highlighted by the rescheduled 17th Annual Eaton/Childers King of the Ring $2,000 to win FASTRAK main event plus its All Star/ Mid-Season Championship/ Double Point night. See the regions top crate late model racers square off in honor of two special speedway icons in the late Bill Childers and Beecher Eaton. The FASTRAK Late Model races have been stellar to date with four different winners to date as Michael Duritsky and Kyle Lukon have each snared a win while the ‘Mad Mexican’ Troy Frazier and Trey Watson each have a pair of wins.

A big night for all racers at the ‘Bullring’ as its All-Star Night at the Bullring as an online fan vote will name the first Bullring All Star Team as we hit the season midway mark. One of the most competitive seasons to date at the Middlebourne, WV oval that has seen a record number of different feature winners so far during the 2018 campaign. As we enjoy All-Star night along with the running of the Mid-Season Championships, the ever important double points are on the line in the chase for the 2018 track championship.

A mid-season recap of the point standings as All Star Night fast approaches. In the J&R Excavating Super Late Models presented by Midcap Land and Timber it is Kyle Thomas of Pennsboro, WV on the heels of his two victories leading the way over Steve Weigle and Brian Baumberger.

A scant six points separate the top three in the Appalachian Mineral Title Company FASTRAK Late Models with defending champion Kyle Lukon holding the lead over Troy Frazier and Trey Watson.

In the 2 Brothers Motorsports AMRA Modified division it is Chris Basich clinging to a nine point lead over Chad Smith in the highly competitive open wheel division that has seen five different winners out of six contested events.

A tremendous battle in the Jenkins Auto Parts Modlite division has Daniel Eddy atop the charts with a mere nine point separation amongst the top four title contenders. Another division that has had five different winners on the season.

In the Sigler Fabrication EDGE Hotmod division presented by Poske Performance Parts Danny Thomas aboard the 7JR with his 4 victories currently sits at the top of the heap ahead of cousin and defending champion Travis Thomas.

Young upstart Philip Bubeck has been the story in the Sport Compact division. In his rookie season the youngster clings to a one point advantage over defending track champion Bill Tennant.

The Youth League of Auto Racing continues to hone the skills of the next generation racer and in the Gear 2 Graphics Senior division a real barnburner is shaping up as Ryan Hare holds a three point edge over the ‘Waterboy’ Luke Hyre as the talented duo has split six wins. In the Gear 2 Graphics Junior Division it’s been Keith Powell leading the way ahead of Jake Casto and Wyatt Demoss.

Gates will open at 4pm with Mini Wedges taking the green at 6pm followed by hotlaps/qualifications beginning at 6:45pm with racing scheduled to start at 7:30pm. General admission is priced at $12 with children 10 and under free while pit credentials are $30. An enjoyable night for the kids as a pre-race pit tour will give the youngsters a rare treat to see the drivers at work prior to the nights action.
