Has the Corona virus got you feeling blue? Not sure about that normal vacation getaway? How about spending a weekend a little closer to home at America’s Baddest Bullring also known as the Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV.

The campground at the Tyler County Speedway which is conveniently located on the grounds of the spacious Tyler County Fairgrounds makes a for a perfect weekend of camping and racing close to home. Ideal for a weekend getaway or a day of family fun, the fairgrounds has spots with full hookups, shower facilities, shelters for picnicking, playground areas and nearby fishing available. No reservations for camping are available with a first come first serve system in place but ample spots are always available for your camping enjoyment. Camping is operated by the Tyler County Fair Association and is $20 a night and they can be contacted at 304-758-4932.

Here’s the lowdown on the ‘Bullring’, located in the scenic WV hills, the Tyler County Speedway is located just 4 miles south of Middlebourne, on State Route 18 approximately an hour from Wheeling, Clarksburg & Parkersburg. Now featuring new aluminum bleachers, handicap area, and lighting among many other modern improvements making the Tyler County Speedway one of the nicest and fan friendly motorsport venues on the East Coast. Considered by fans, drivers and industry insiders to be one of the raciest tracks in the nation and has been dubbed ‘America’s Baddest Bullring’ with three and four wide racing action being the norm not the exception.

This weekends event on Saturday Night, June 27th will be no different as the speedway will play host to a FAST FAMILY FUN NIGHT @ the Bullring featuring scrumptious concession stand values of $1 Dogs and $1 Popcorn. Over 100 of the regions best competitors will head to the tiny little highbank oval on the outskirts of the little town and between 7 o’clock on a Saturday evening until eleven o’ clock the hillside will ring with the sounds of excitement. Many race fans young and old alike make the weekly pilgrimage over Route 18 to quench their need for speed and enjoy a quality family night out at an affordable cost close to home. Gates open at 4, with MWRA Mini Wedges set to begin at 6:15 with hotlaps/qualifying set for 6:45 and racing taking the green flag at 7:30.
