49TH ANNUAL – 2DAY PITS – $60

The nation’s longest-running dirt late model event returned home in 2016 with Scott Bloomquist breaking through for his first win at the speedway. Hall of Fame event promoter, Carl Short, announced that one of the richest events in dirt late model racing will be back at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV to carry on it’s 49th year as a West Virginia tradition.  Woven in the fabric of the Mountain State the “Hillbilly Hundred” will be run Labor Day Weekend, Sept 2-3, 2017.

The festivities will kick off on Saturday, September 2nd with the “Hillbilly Fifty,” which pays $4,000-to-win for Steel Block Late Models. Saturday’s program will also include a $5,000-to-win event for Fastrak Late Models and a $2,000-to-win event for AMRA Modifieds. Additionally, heat races will be ran for the Hotmods, Mod Lites, and 4Cylinders.

The action heats up on Sunday, September 3rd when the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series takes center stage for the “Hillbilly Hundred”. The event will include a complete program of: Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and the 100-lap, $25,000-to-win main event. The Hotmods and Mod Lites will compete their $600-to-win events.

The stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series are expected to battle regional stand-outs such as Tim Dohm, Eddie Carrier Jr., Freddie Carpenter, and more, all chasing a $25,000 top prize.
