(Middlebourne, WV) A full pit area greeted race fans and a hammer down racey bullring awaited eager drivers looking to earn a coveted spot in next weeks gigantic Memorial Weekend World of Outlaw Jackpot weekend. Garnering Tyler County Speedway triumphs were Jared Hawkins, Chris Carpenter, Jesse Wisecarver, Mike Conkle, Mitch Ward and Jacob Ice.

In the J&R Excavating Super Late Models it was Fairmont, WV’s Jared Hawkins putting his mount in the Tyler County victory lane for the first time in 2013. Hawkins would blast to the lead from his front row starting spot but would have to withstand a late race charge from Mike Benedum and Steve Weigle to hang on to the victory insuring his starting spot in the World of Outlaw Jackpot 100. Rounding out the top five were Benedum, Weigle, Sonny Conley, and Corey Conley. The J&R Excavating Super Late Model division has seen four different feature winners so far in 2013.

It was the “Joker” Chris Carpenter from Parkersburg, WV ending the Kyle Thomas three race win streak in the Peoples Bank FASTRAK Late Model division. Carpenter would blast around Thomas midway thru the race to claim his first victory of the young season. Completing the top five were Thomas, Danny Thomas, Derek Rogers and Brandon McGrady.

A stout field of 22 Two Brothers Motorsports EDGE modifieds would take to the bullring vying for a spot in next week’s monstrous “Let it Ride 55”. A very spirited battle would ensue at the drop of the green between Bird Wilson, DJ Cline, Rick Aukland, Kenny Johnson, Jared Hawkins and Jesse Wisecarver as they sliced and diced in typical ‘bullring’ fashion. Early leader Wilson would eventually succumb to a hard charging Wisecarver and Cline while Hawkins was continuing to blast around the top. Wisecarver from Zanesville, Ohio would go on to claim the win aboard Tom and Junior Nolan’s Two Brother Motorsports entry holding off a nice run by DJ Cline, Jared Hawkins, Bird Wilson and Mark Dickson.

Shinnston, WV’s Mitch Ward piloting the 862 Modlite would lay claim to his first ever feature win in the Chris Metz State Farm Insurance ModLite division. Ward would hold off perennial winner Tracy Fritter, Josh Baldwin, Randy Kerns, and Brandon Fluharty to the stripe.

A wild Hotmod main event would see a flurry of action with Mike Conkle coming out on top. Race long leader Chad Smith and Conkle would drag down the backstretch heading for the checkered when the lead duo would make contact entering turn three resulting in Smith spinning in turn four before gathering it back up and finishing seventh, while Conkle would go on to claim the win. Rounding out the top five were Codi Eaton, Brad Dickson, Chris Ice and Bobby Kimball.

The ‘Little Ice Man’ Jacob Ice would set the tone to the evening by picking up yet another MWRA Mini Wedge main event.

Coming this week is the Tyler County Speedway’s biggest event of the season as the World’s Most Powerful Stock Cars the World of Outlaw Late Models invade for the running of the Jackpot 100. The weekend officially kicks off on Thursday night as a complete show for the Hotmods and Modlites plus an open practice session get the festivities underway. On Friday, Country Superstars, Zack Paxson, Colt Ford and Justin Moore will rock the hills in a must see concert event. Then on Saturday and Sunday the focus shifts back to the Bullring for two intense nights of World of Outlaw action and the historic “Let it Ride 55” Renegade of Dirt Modified event paying a whopping $7,555 to win. Plus the FASTRAK Late Models, Modlites and Hotmods will also see action. For more information or tickets call 304-771-5661 or 304-771-4883 and visit us online at www.tylercountyspeedwayonline.com .

Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour Ready For Biggest Event Ever! “Let It Ride 55” Excitement Building!
$7555 to win, $755 to start “Let it Ride 55” Just 17 Days Away!

(Middlebourne, WV) Time is ticking for anxious racers to finish preparations for the “Big One”. The race billed as the BIGGEST two-day modified event in the Eastern United States in 2013, and quite possibly the most highly-anticipated modified event the Eastern U.S has ever seen is now just a little over two weeks away and has already received entries from nearly ten states as the excitement continues to build for the 2nd Annual “Let it Ride 55”. While many have been in action for the last few months it was this event that most circled as the “must attend” in 2013 and it wont take long to figure out why. There’s at least seven thousand, five hundred and fifty five known reasons the event will capture the attention of nearly the entire nations modified contingent this Memorial Weekend, May 23rd through the 26th.

Over $40,000 dollars in event purse will be awarded to participating racers who brave the fierce field of the nations best open wheel warriors who look to make the trek to the mighty “Mountain State” quarter mile dirt oval in search for the hefty $7555 top prize awarding a minimum $755 dollars to all 25 A-Main starters. While the winner will pocket the bulk of the loot on the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour’s third event of the season they won’t be the only one who will make it out of town with plenty of jingle. The event will also award a large variety of “Bullring Bounties” including $155 dollars cash to the weekend’s fast qualifier presented by 2Brothers Motorsports and an extra $55 dollars to the remaining “Fast Five” on night number one. Racers will then battle it out in their high stakes heat races where the winner will be awarded $55 dollars an automatic spot in the $255 to win, “Dash for Cash” that will also determine the line-up for Sunday night’s fifty five lap A-Main. Meanwhile, the remainder of the field who does not qualify directly into the main event will turn to Sunday evening’s last chance showdown’s to earn their spot into either the generous twenty-five car “Let it Ride 55” field or the twenty car ModFury.com “Non-Qualifier”. Racers will also be gunning for the weekend’s “Hard Charger Award” that will guarantee the events top passer at least an additional $1000 in contingencies for his efforts. When its all said and done well over $50,000 in event purse, bonuses, and contingencies will be up for grabs including at least $755 dollars to twenty five participants, $255 to a minimum forty five entries, and at least $155 dollars in guaranteed travel money to all eligible open wheel competitors.

The intense four day May 23rd through 26th event will once again be part of one of motorsports best deals of the season. The full weekend slate will also feature and open practice for the Renegade of Dirt Modifieds and the wicked World Of Outlaw Late Model Dirt Series on Thursday night in which the nationally know Super Late Model tour will be making their only trip to the “Bullring” in 2013.
Renegade of Dirt “Rookie of the Year” Contender, Amanda Stiffler Is Taking A Stand!
Avid member of the RAD program, Stiffler seeks to provide awareness to racing’s youth!

(Middlebourne, WV) As race fans from all over prepare to make their way to Tyler County Speedway’s action packed Memorial Day weekend, Renegade Tour officials are pleased to announce yet another exciting opportunity for race fans of all ages to take part in during the week-end ‘s esteemed line up of entertainment.

Fifteen year old, Renegade of Dirt “Rookie of the Year” contender, and second generation racer Amanda Stiffler of Farmdale, Ohio is not only passionate about her on track activity, she’s also very fervid about her off track responsibilities as part of the ‘youth’ of Auto Racing. Amanda excels in her actions of doing both very well, and is a national spokesperson for the Race Against Drugs http://www.ncprs.org/radHome.htm when not running side by side with the “guys” on dirt ovals all across the OH-WV-PA Tri-State area.

Racers Against Drugs (RAD) is the largest racing volunteer network dedicating their time as role model’s to young fans to follow their lead and live drug free, healthy lives by Fueling a Drug Free Future! The goals of the RAD organization and their spokespersons are to reach and educate our nation’s youth by advocating through motorsports professionals a drug free healthy lifestyle. Their primary focus has been to establish and maintain a large volunteer network that distributes materials designed to raise awareness and encourage discussion about drug abuse and change the attitudes and perceptions of our nation’s youth.

Amanda’s involvement with RAD started at age 14 , and being a teen in high school she knows all too well about the peer pressures, and negative influences America’s youth face daily in school and life.

“I was excited to be a spokesperson for RAD so that I could show other teens, like myself, that we can together rise above the bad influences and peer pressures and that there are far better opportunities and things than drugs and alcohol. I love being a role model and helping other kids like me reach for better things and say ‘no’ to drugs.” stated, Stiffler.

Amanda is more than excited to use her racing career to be a positive influence to her peers, ” I have been blessed with the opportunity to live a dream and while I have thankfully never taken drugs, I can assure you NO drug can match the high of racing wide open into turn one. I just want kids to know that no matter what they want to do in life, they can do it if the make the right decisions and stand up for what is right.” concluded, Stiffler.

As part of the stellar weekend of events and activities offered to fans at this years Renegade of Dirt Modified Tour “Let It Ride 55”, on Saturday May 25, 2013 from 2:00pm-4:00pm Amanda will be bringing along her 500+ horsepower #14 Open Wheel Modified to vender’s alley behind the main grandstands and will be there to visit with young fans, sign autographs, give away many fun things for children and teens as well as information on the dangers of drugs.

She will encourage young fans to pledge with her to be drug free by signing her RAD pledge book. Each young fan eighteen and under that signs her pledge book will receive a ticket and be entered to win either a 1/24 scale or 1/64 scale die cast of Amanda’s RAD Modified sponsored by American Diecast Company out of Saxonburg, PA http://www.american-diecast.com/ . There will be a total of four diecast cars given away to ticket holders at intermission of the event on May 25th.

“This is a wonderful thing, in today’s world where drugs are prevalent among the schools and in the teenage environment it’s great to see kids who are using their passions towards also providing an opportunity to pass out details on living a drug free lifestyle” stated Tour director, Cody Watson. “We are glad to have Amanda on the tour and to see her reaching out and spending time making kids aware through the RAD program, volunteering her time on a race day and not just being “to busy” to make a difference” concluded Watson.

Huge Holiday Weekend Spectacular In West Virginia Features Two Full WoO LMS Shows

By Kevin Kovac, WoO LMS P.R. Director

CONCORD, NC – May 13, 2013 – NAPA Auto Parts has signed as the presenting sponsor of the second annual World of Outlaws Late Model Series ‘Jackpot 100′ on May 25-26 at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, W.Va.

The Jackpot 100 Presented by NAPA Auto Parts headlines a huge four-day holiday weekend of entertainment at Tyler County Speedway that also includes support-division racing, music and camping in the hills of West Virginia. The WoO LMS portion of the extravaganza has expanded to two full nights of action this year, with a 30-lap A-Main paying $6,000 to win on Sat., May 25, and a 70-lap feature event boasting a $15,000 first-place check on Sun., May 26.

With the announcement, NAPA Auto Parts continues its support of World of Outlaws competition. The well-known automotive parts store has sponsored several events in recent years on both the WoO LMS and WoO STP Sprint Car Series.

“It’s great for NAPA to be involved with World of Outlaws,” said Kevin Amtower, president of Amtower Auto Supply, which owns 10 NAPA Auto Parts stores in and around its Bridgeport, W.Va., headquarters. “We see these guys (race attendees) in the store every day, and now we get to spend the weekend with them at the race.”

As part of NAPA’s sponsorship of the Jackpot 100, fans making a purchase for any amount at a participating NAPA Auto Parts store will have the opportunity to bring their receipt to Tyler County Speedway on race weekend and receive 20 percent off a purchase of merchandise at the official World of Outlaws Late Model Series souvenir trailer. With five NAPA Auto Parts located within 20 miles of the track – the closest being just 10 miles away – and 41 stores sitting within 75 miles of the speedway, fans have plenty of options to stop at a NAPA outlet en route to the quarter-mile clay oval.

NAPA Auto Parts stores located in the general vicinity of Tyler County Speedway will also help publicize the Jackpot 100 with promotional cards and display posters detailing the special WoO LMS souvenir trailer discount offer.

In addition, fans can expect to enjoy other fun-filled giveaways and promotions from NAPA Auto Parts throughout the two nights of the Jackpot 100 at the popular fairgrounds track.

While the Jackpot 100 Presented by NAPA Auto Parts alone represents a spectacular Memorial Day weekend attraction, the WoO LMS action will be accented by other exciting entertainment. The purchase of a four-day, all-access ticket for just $80 grants admission to May 25-26 WoO LMS programs – which also include the $7,555-to-win ‘Let It Ride 55′ for the Renegades of Dirt Modifieds Tour and a $2,000-to-win Fastrak Crate Late Model event – plus a support-division qualifying card on Thurs., May 23 and a giant country-music concert on Fri., May 24, featuring recording artists Colt Ford, Justin Moore and Zack Paxson.

The all-access tickets, which also include pit admission for the races, can be purchased in advance by calling the ticket hotline at 304-771-5661 or 304-771-4883. Single-day tickets for admission to the races and concert are also being sold.

For more information on the WoO LMS Jackpot 100 and its supporting events, visit www.tylercountyspeedwayonline.com or call 304-771-5661 or 304-771-4883.

The Tyler County Fairgrounds/Speedway is located on State Route 18, three miles south of Middlebourne, W.Va., and just a mere hour from Parkersburg, W.Va., Wheeling, W.Va., and Clarksburg, W.Va.

The World of Outlaws Late Model Series is brought to fans across the country by many important sponsors and partners, including: American Racing Custom Wheels (Official Custom Wheel), Arizona Sport Shirts (Official Apparel Company), Armor All (Official Car Care Products), Hoosier Racing Tires (Official Racing Tires), KMC (Official Custom Truck Wheel), STP (Official Fuel Treatment), Vicci (Official Uniform), VP Racing Fuel (Official Racing Fuel), DirtonDirt.com (Hard Charger Award) and McCarthy’s One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning (Raye Vest Memorial Pill Draw Award); in addition to contingency sponsors: Butlerbuilt, Cometic Gasket, Comp Cams, Dominator Race Products, Edelbrock, Eibach Springs, JE Pistons, JRI Shocks, Klotz Synthetic Lubricants, MSD Ignition, Ohlins Shocks, QuarterMaster, Roush Yates Performance Parts, Superflow Dynos, Wrisco Aluminum and XS Power Racing Batteries; along with manufacturer sponsors Capital Race Cars, Integra Shocks, GRT Chassis, Jake’s Carts, Racing Electronics, Rocket Chassis, TNT Rescue, and Warrior Chassis.

(Middlebourne, WV) For many in less than ten days racers from all across the Eastern United States will be geared up and headed to the “Bullring” for the Renegades of Dirt Modified’s third stop on the 2013 “Back For More” Tour. What awaits the eager mob of modified participants…? A chance at cashing in on the most lucrative open wheel event in Renegades of Dirt history and one of the most highly anticipated dirt modified shows ever. A whopping purse of all but $50,000 will welcome the anxious racers to the ¼ mile dirt oval in Middlebourne, WV this Memorial Day Weekend. An event known for its peculiar payout amounts including $7555 to the winner and $755 to start, stemming from its title the “Let it Ride 55” is beginning to gain mainstream hype in the dirt world as its green flag deadline approaches.

However, in just six days participants will be granted the opportunity to earn a guaranteed starting spot into the Arizona Sport Shirts A-Main on May 26th at this coming weekend’s “Let it Ride 55” qualifier night at the Tyler County Speedway. The Saturday evening winner will be treated to an absolute huge sigh of relief knowing their efforts will automatically enter them into the fifty-five lap main event if they are unable to race their way in on the following weekend. The guaranteed starting position on top of the regular race night purse will mean racers that enter the “Ring” on May 18th will be battling it out for at least a $1355 dollar top prize. It is noted that if the winner qualifies himself into the “Let It Ride 55” through his heat race or consolation event the provisional will be acknowledged throughout the entire qualifying event finishing field.
“It’s hard to state how truly important this race/provisional is to the racers planning to attend on May 25th and 26th” stated Renegade director, Cody Watson. “Not only does it allow you the guarantee into the big show and it’s guaranteed $755 dollar start money, but your also awarded at least the sixty five Renegade points for starting the A-Main with the opportunity to earn more which is crucial only three races into the 2013 tour” added Watson. “Plus the fact that you can show up on Saturday with a lot less stress and pressure. When you go out to qualify and run your heat it will be that much more comforting knowing “it’s” there if you need it” concluded Watson.

Renegade officials want to remind everyone that the support they get from participants is what allows promoters and race tracks to offer the big purse’s and premier events. “When the support is there everyone wins” added Tyler Speedway promoter, John Watson. “The racers win at the pay window, the promoter wins at the gate, and the fans win when they are treated to an incredible show. It just can’t be stressed enough that when everyone supports each other the opportunities become available and good things will continue to happen” concluded Watson.

Saturday night May 18th will also feature a packed night of stock car racing in five other divisions at “The Bullring” each awarding the winner a shot at automatically qualifying into their own version of a Memorial Weekend special. The J&R Excavating Super Late Models presented by Midcap Land & Timber will be running for a guaranteed spot in Sunday’s $15,000 to win World of Outlaw Late Model Series A-Main. The Peoples Bank Fastrak Late Models will be gunning for a lucrative spot in the $2000 to win Fastrak Northeast Touring Series main event. The Chris Metz State Farm Insurance Modified Lites will be gunning for the chance to start in not one but BOTH nights of intense STARS ModLite action in which they will earn the provisional spot in Thursday’s $700 to win A-Main, but also be guaranteed into Saturday nights $700 to win A-Main. The EDGE Hotmods will also be running for a provisional into a dual feature format on Memorial Weekend in which the spot will guarantee them into the $300 to win special on Thursday night and again into the $300 to win feature only event on Sunday night in front of the capacity crowd.

Once again with early season cool temps still lingering a fan friendly gesture of starting an hour earlier to get fans back home at a reasonable time is being implemented by track management. Gates will open at 3, with hotlaps and qualifying starting at 6 and racing getting underway at 7. Management continues to excel in time management with the Late Model feature guaranteed to hit the track by 9:30 each and every week this season.

General admission for May 18th is priced at $12, children 10 and under free while entry into the pits is $26.
